Good. I am glad these tech giants are starting to get hated on like bankers.

Around four years ago, people started attacking the shuttle buses that took Googleemployees to and from work, as a way of protesting the tech-company-driven gentrification taking place around San Francisco. Well, it seems to be happening again.

This time it’s not just Google (GOOGL, -0.45%)—it’s Apple’s charter buses too. At least five of the iPhone-maker’s shuttles have recently had their windows smashed while in transit. According to an email sent to Apple staff, the first attack took place last Friday, followed by four more on Tuesday.

It’s suspected that someone is shooting out the windows using pellet guns, or perhaps throwing rocks. The attacks took place on highway 280, so Apple (AAPL, +0.08%) is diverting its buses from that road, even though doing so will add 30-45 minutes to the commute time in either direction.

You're an idiot. I'd rather have a bus than 40 cars on the road.

And you're wrong, by the way: https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/01/17/apple-google-shuttle-buses-targeted-on-highway-280/

The chartered buses are unmarked and do not offer any visible connection to Google or Apple, Montiel said.

“Even though they are targeting buses, we don’t believe they are targeting the specific companies,” he said.

Put a cop on each shuttle, and arrest anybody who throws something at the bus.

Why would you be happy people are smashing windows?

Why on earth would you hate on people or a company that provides charter buses to their employees?!

That's at least 25-40 cars off the streets!

Do you love traffic???

He's probably a liberal, believes that only the government should operate buses.

@Kafir-kun you confuse the shit out of me...

You like OP's post and then the very next post that trashes the OP post..

You are riding that fence like Jenna Jameson girl!!!!

There’s a lot better ways to protest tech giants like google and apples, than assulting their everyday workers simply en route to earning a paycheck

Why would you support that? Singed protesters outside the corporate headquarters or CEO’s residence (off the property) would be infinitively better. This is simply dangerous and violent

I agree with @JonesBones that we should see the tech giants as not too different from the bankers but @vespasian offered a legit criticism of the specific point concerning the buses.

My guess would be that both Google and Apple are very leftist and this anti-gentrification shit is usually very leftist. So in a way it is proof of how the left will eat itself and EVERY company should be as anti-leftist as they can get.

I agree with @JonesBones that we should see the tech giants as not too different from the bankers .

Why not? Not sure what is wrong with bankers or people who make tech we all enjoy.

I am feeling like people who are complete losers are jealous of anyone with a modicum of success and want to put on a MASK OF COMPASSION to hide their bitterness.

Apple should be punished for that horrid commercial with the little ginger child that goes "What's a computer?"

BITCH WHY YOU LYING???

This is an attack on the employees. it's unwarranted no matter what your feelings are for that company.

If you are targeting a specific person (like the CEO of Mylan - Epipen) then okay. Maybe I see a minor point to it.

I am pretty sure the upper managements of Google and Apple have private limos or daily helicopter ride to/from work. Those filthy rich fucks aren't riding with the much lesser rich peons. at least if I was up there I wouldn't be hanging around with the plebs but that's just me...

Having a bunch of Chinese "sweatshops" isn't exactly progressive. Apple may masquerade as liberal, but they are one of the biggest examples of corporate tyranny.

why is this good? they did nothing wrong. in any area that is sought after, the folks with money will take over. it's capitalism. my brother works in silicon valley and their employer has shuttles for employees. i sure as fuck don't want anything happening to a shuttle my brother, or anyone else, is on.

Look in your house/apartment (closet, desk, kitchen, etc...) and tell me that you have purchased NOTHING that was created in a Chinese (or just Asian) sweatshop.

I rest my case..

Google and Apple contribute to society, unlike the bankers.

P4P worst commercial of all time.

Also, they seem to be doing this thing where they replace all the beautiful people in commercials with ugly ones.

Fair enough.
