Hello,

Just wondering what the AOJ monthly price is for a black belt. Do the same fees apply as lower rank? I have a job that allows me to travel so I was just curious.

Also wondering how much the drop in fees are for a black belt. Just looking at options and might only be able to drop in depending how much the monthly charges are.

And yes, I could call and ask, thought I would come to my sherbros first. Thanks!

depends man im a black belt and iv been able to train at top mma gyms for free even was asked to teach a few classes and paid for it. and iv been to a gym ran by a brown belt who wanted to charge me 25 a day cause i wasnt gonna stay a month and pay him 150 a month lol. so like i said depends if you are a very talent grappler and can give them good sparring maybe they wont charge. if you are average casual grappler with nothing to really help the gym then yeah they prob arnt gonna let you train for free

anybody from AOJ have insight? thanks tekkenfan

Why wouldn't drop in fees apply for senior belts?

I assume for a sufficiently high level visitors the drop in fees are dropped/lowered because the provide more value as training partners.

And you thought yourself as "sufficiently high level " because? I'm just curious, is it just because you are a black belt or are you a high level competitor?

I'm not the one asking the question. I don't consider myself "high level" enough. I'm a brown belt (former national champion of Poland at purple belt)

On yea, I would want to know how the OP feels

My gym doesn't charge black belts anything, and I've heard of other gyms being similar. All in all, just curious. Thanks for the replies.

I'm pretty sure Atos charges everyone who isn't an elite competitor, and their drop in fees (at least what they publicly advertise) is very high. $60 last time I checked. I think they really don't want a lot of visitors, where they're at in SoCal they'd probably get mobbed if they let upper belts train for free.
