Anyone you noticed being effected by no fans in arenas?

I don't know about the fighters, but I sure lose a lot of interest in the fights when there is no crowd cheering. That's like watching a movie in an empty theater.
I saw American Made and MI: Fallout and Creed 2 in next to empty cinemas and it is completely same different LOL.
If anything, when I was in one for Spectre and Bond fukked the ultimate GILF in Bellucci - twas a likkle bit awkward among a sausage party of an audience... like watching porn together - who does that. okay, maybe this is a wrong comparison, because watching UFC is different than fake action and somehow even more brutal, most times.

It was so fucking unprofessional and disgusting. It made me sick in the stomach then and still does.

Lol, bruh, I just threw up in my mouth a little just thinking about it.

Seriously the only nightmares I have is of Cormier yelling like a spastic ‘THUG ROSE!!!!’ over and over and over and I wake up in a panic like I am dying or something.

so much cringe from someone who is so highly touted and regarded by lots.

Bisping telling Usman to fight like a man when he was foot stomping had me dyin

Bisping telling Usman to fight like a man when he was foot stomping had me dyin

Bisping is by far the best. My favs are Bisping, Hardy and DC

Just a hunch, but you probably are also on facebook crying about Thanksgiving restrictions

He needs to retire and stay away..can't stand listening to the guy. Even the khabib Dustin fight, I didn't like his commentary. The guy doesn't do a good job of selling the fighters in the booth. That's where cormier is great. He's able to sell each guys strength and get it across to the casual viewer.

Cruz in his commentary almost seems perplexed or envious by khabib like "huh? How is he doing that? Never seen that before"

As a commentator, that's really a piss poor job of getting across to the viewer how elite a fighters skillset is
I respect Cruz’ analysis probably more than any of the other commentators because his is sparse and more intelligent. Guys like Rogan and DC hype up fighters yeah, but that’s really all they offer. Watch NBA or NFL commentary, the color commentators actually give decent analysis, not just hype. Seems much more professional on those other sports.

Bisping telling Usman to fight like a man when he was foot stomping had me dyin
Yeah because Bisping looked like an idiot hyping up Masvidal who couldn’t do anything

As a viewer, it feels like watching a TUF finale...

As a fighter, I would imagine any lack of energy is quickly gone away with the minute they eat a good shot.
I've always found having the eyes on you and the energy in the room affects the mood. Some fighters get tense and hesitant under that pressure, some shine.

Oh fuck off dude. It's fine if you miss the fans, but others have different opinions. I for one still prefer having an empty arena. Hearing the strikes land and the corner instructions is well worth the price of admission of a "passionless environment". I don't expect the arrangement to last forever, of course, but for now it's been a nice novelty with some unexpected positive side effects.

I think there was a chance Cormier felt the lack of energy in the arena that night. No wonder, instead of a sold out MGM with roaring fans you are in the fucking empty Apex for the biggest fight of your career. Chance to retire HW champ, getting back a loss etc. Stipe was the better man that night no doubt but those moments Cormier was getting pushed against a cage in a dead silent arena... makes me truly question the mindsets of those who say they prefer no fans, really dumb-dumb? Because you can hear the sound effects of a jab?
Get a grip. It’s a passionless environment. Oh but you can hear the corners!! Derp!

Personally it wore off for me after about 3 no fan cards in.

Yeah i can imagine that fighters like DC & Fedor were/are keen to do their last fight in a packed stadium instead of a glorified tv studio but i don't think the environment would have much effect on their performance, they've been around for too long to let something like that matter.

DC got dealt with by Stipe, fans or no fans.
He just wasnt good enough.

Apparently he was good enough:

i

Too bad he literally aged before our eyes, and Stipe got another washed up old man under his "resume"

Remember the time Paul Buentello fought in an arena with no fans?

Really? I’m surprised the “strikes land” thing hasn’t worn off for you and others. It has been like 9 months. Also MMA corners are fucking clueless for the most part, it’s hardly Jason Wittman cornering these guys every event
