anyone watches the show Girls?

its success at the golden globes is kinda inching me towards giving it a shot.

at first glance the show and its characters just hit a little too close to me for it to be perfectly enjoyable. A lot of the characters are very familiar and recognizable, feels like people I know.

What's its reception around here?

Lena Dunham is oddly attractive though, love a full figured chick with modern sensibilities and styles
 
Pretty good show.

Is Lena the girl who plays the main character? She is not attractive.

i'm forced to watch this show with my gf since it's after californication.
nothing great bout the show. girls on there arent very attractive, the only plus is they take it off. i would rather jerk off using sandpaper.
 
Clearly overrated, but still worth watching imo...

Not a fan. Just a bunch of entitled chicks with rich parents trying to "Find themselves".

None of the characters are likable either.

That is the whole point of the show. They are a bunch of losers. Without Adam the show would be complete shit. But he makes the show a pretty good show.
 
Show is hilarious. Smart humor. A god damn these fucking ads. There not a single place you can pull your cursor across the screen without making that shit pop up. And when you click the X your cursor is sandwiched in between two of them.
 
Never seen this show "Girls".

I have seen Show Girls a few times in Vegas though.
 
I watched enough episodes to know that I don't find it funny or enjoyable at all.

I'm usually a huge fan of HBO comedies, bored to death, eastbound & down, life and times of tim etc

only reservation about this show is the characters seem like the worst parts of myself and people i kno lol
 
Like I said in a different thread about the show:
I gave it a shot, but I didn't find their melodramatic problems interesting or having much comic relief (New Girl also has melodramtic problems, but I find there to be more of a comic relief). Plus, they just remind me of some university girls that I know who just expect to have things handed to them and live like Sex in the City when they leave University, just because they have a degree

Honestly, the way I feel about people and situations like that, I SHOULD hate it. I just really don't. BTW, when does Bored start again?
