I tried to use it when I was single a long time ago, but the site was much less user friendly than the alternatives. I don’t think I ever met anyone from that site, and quickly closed my account in favor of match or okcupid.
When I was single many moons ago, I was on POF all the time. The best I ever had was on POF. The worst I've ever had was on POF (got your boy "sick" if you know what I mean). It's mainly a site for hooking up and yes, because it's free, you'll get a lot of trash on that site as well or catfishers.
POF used to tell how you how far away girls in your area were. I'd look at all my options within 10 miles and get hard as a rock hitting them up. Now its absolute trash. The quality of women I've met/banged on apps is always lower than the one's I meet in real life, so I stopped using all of them a while ago.
