Anyone tried glycerol (glycerine) before workout

    I bought liquid food grade glycerine.
    Sweet taste, took 25-30 grams with a lot of water, 1 hour before lifting.
    Not sure if placebo, but I felt better and stronger during the workout.
    It supposed to help with hydration, mostly.

    Anyone tried it?

    Glycerol is most commonly used for constipation, improving hydration and performance in athletes, and for certain skin conditions. It is also used for meningitis, stroke, obesity, ear infections, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

    I used nitroGlycerine before a workout and it was the bomb.

    There isn't good scientific evidence for improving hydration and performance?
    I found some studies on ncbi
