It was pretty interesting. Never heard of the show before tonight, or the interviewer. But he asked some pretty good questions. Talked about the Fertitta's dad building Station Casinos, the brothers taking it over, declaring bankruptcy, early UFC days, fighter pay, monopoly accusations, Rob Dyrdek, if Lorenzo has ever thought Dana was in over his head, etc.

I can't find the entire 30 minute show on youtube yet, but here's the preview video. I'll post the entire thing when they put it up.

Good find TS. Never heard of Graham Bensinger, but I'm sure I can give you all of the answers before Lorenzo does. Just see his ESPN interview from 2 yrs ago. Fertitta's a pro's pro and corporate business guy media stuff.

Some of his answers were canned, but some of the interviewers questions I had never heard anyone ask Lorenzo. I wish I could remember the way he phrased it, but the guy asked him something to the effect of has he considered taking the reigns away from Dana...or something like that. That stood out.

And Lorenzo went on about Rob Dyrdek, and how people really don't understand how much Rob's accomplished and how shrewd and creative he is at business. Lorenzo said he always mentions Rob as one of the best young businessmen out there right now. I thought that was cool.

He also said he wants to set up the entire UFC enterprise the same way the Discovery media company has done their business. Said things like shark week and grizzly's attacking hyenas translates to every culture on Earth, the same way 2 martial artists fighting each other does.

Sweet Lord that show ain't easy to find.

lol I think tonight was the first airing of that episode. I just happened to notice it on one of my local tv stations tonight, and saw Fertitta's name. Apparently the guy's done interviews with Tony Hawk, Mike Tyson, Pacquiao, and a bunch of others.

dem gains...

Love or hate Zuffa, there is no denying Lorenzo is a very intelligent guy with a high level of business acumen.

More and more I find myself at odds with decisions Zuffa makes - quite specifically in the last year - but I am very grateful for what they've done with one of the only sports I truly care about. There is no denying that Lorenzo is a competent and head strong businessman, even when I disagree with him.

I've seen ads for this guy's show on CSN when I watch Blazer games. I'll try and see if they replay it soon, if anyone's trying to find it in the PNW it's probably on that channel.
