Anyone play Stellaris

its actually a really good game. Especially when you add the mods, Also a very very gorgeous game.

i tihnk the only problem i had is the complexity which is common for most paradox games. And its not turned based, its a free flowing experience with the option to pause

yeah I saw a guy who said theres no end turn option like in the Civ games where random shit happens

I just bought it now need to get on yt to see how to play.

Stellaris is easily the most approachable one.

I thought HOI4 wasn't bad either - still fairly steep with a ton of menus though. I couldn't get into Stellaris long enough to really learn it's systems though. I wanted to but something there didn't click.

i didn't mind it but i'm almost positive the AI cheats.

i played a few games and every single time i brought a fleet against someone i was at war with, they would show up almost immediately with a fleet just slightly more powerful. the first few times i figured it was just me under-estimating my opponents, but it kept happening. Eventually i picked on someone i was way way ahead of, same deal.

to test it out i looked up some cheats, and used them to build an out of control fleet. absolutely massive and improbable to achieve playing normally, gave myself all techs, basically went full god mode. Sure enough, the enemy matched it with one just slightly more powerful and equally advanced

uninstalled the game straight away and haven't reinstalled it.
