Anyone of you guys ever been on the dark web/deep web?

Apparently you can buy all kinds of narcotics and other illegal shit on this dark web. There’s also child pornography, fraud services, disgusting torture videos, etc. I’ve never even heard of it, and I certainly have no interest in visiting it. But it seems to be an easy way to order opioids and such online, which is how many people involved in the opioid crisis receive their narcotics.

I’m curious how many people actually use it. It seems like a pretty scary thing because you need a special browser to access it, and specific software. It also appears like the government can’t shut any of the websites down — at least not easily.

Is this like a tiny niche for sick bastards and drug addicts, or is it actually used fairly commonly?
 
The dark web as you call it was there in the beginnng. The web you use today with your browser is the new one.

The old dial up shit you had to punch the address in is basically the same thing for all intents and purposes.

Aol and prodigy and shit came along to make it easier on people.

It isn’t all illegal activity , normal legal stuff goes on there too everyday
 
Back in the before time, the long long ago a lot of what the dark web is now was ftp servers. You had to get the ip address and the password from someone who knew. Had to contribute to whatever activity the server supported ECT. Never used the dark web but it's nothing new and not all of it is gonna be evil shit.

I think bigger than unlisted websites the 'dark web' grew out of the idea that crypto currency was really untraceable money. Which it isn't.

My biggest curiosity about the dark web is if the people who got on that train and dropped Bitcoin or etherium on some fucked up shit have been shitting their pants for the last year or two. My guess would be yes. No such thing as untraceable money, and from what I hear crypto is actually some 'forever' money.

Buy your drugs with cash people. Hitmen too. And just say no to underage anything.

Actually don't pay for hitmen period. Unless you are some kind of made man it's almost definitely a cop.

Same here minus benzos. Purchased a decent amount of psychedelics in the past on the dark web and this was when the first incarnation of Silk Road just started. Like I said got a decent amount of psychs from that place. DMT, LSD and a bunch of other stuff but not anymore. Hardly ever visit the dark web anymore

I tried it briefly years ago. It was slow as shit and I didn't find it useful, so I quickly quit using it. Is it any better these days? I don't know. I guess I hope so, because internet privacy and security is a legitimate concern. I'm not really worried about what I'm doing on the internet these days, so I don't feel a pressing need to try it again. But maybe I will someday...
