After watching some Youtube videos like this I decided to give it a shot for fun. I don't expect great quality, but It should at least be drinkable, we'll see.

Cliffs:

- Buy some 100% grape juice (with no additives)
- Pour out about 30% from the container to make room
- Add a pack of yeast from the supermarket
- Add a few cups of sugar (food for the yeast)
- Put the cap on, but don't screw it all the way
- Wait about 2 weeks... Wine

Any Sherbros make their own wine?

Sounds like some serious hobo homebrew you got goin' on there.

Enjoy your vision while it lasts, you're basically making turpentine.

I think the more sugar you use ups the alcohol content - be careful.

It's not really dangerous... the amount of alcohol ends up being limited by the yeast. Most strains will usually die out once it reaches around 10% ABV give or take. If you use wine or champagne yeast strains, you may be able to achieve higher ABV but nothing higher than around 18% or so.

The danger only really comes when people try to distill stuff. Instead of ethanol alcohol (which is what the yeast produces naturally), methanol can get end up getting in there too during lousy distillation processes... which can cause blindness and death.

I make toilet vodka. Pm me for instructions,

gotta use dem high quality stuff man

Ive made fruit juice wine in jail and fresh fruit wine on the streets

Bought some wine today. Man that was easy. Didn't have to wait at all.

I always wondered... if you can get the ingredients to make the wine smuggled in jail, is it really much harder to smuggle in the wine itself?

You get the ingredients from the kitchen in the jail

Ive had some homebrews that were pretty decent. I've never had homemade wine that wasn't skunky/nasty no matter who made it. That tells me all I need to know about what's easier to make ( well anyway).

One of my father's best friend own a little vineyard close to Piacenza (north Italy), he sell his wine to local restaurant around

Sometimes my dad go help them and come back with car full of bottles :icon_chee

That will make horrific wine.

There is no 2-week turnaround on wine, and you don't use yeast from the supermarket to ferment it.

I've made wine in the past but prefer to brew/drink beer.

My dad started making wine about 10 years ago, started with some pretty basic stuff and wasn't the greatest.

He now makes wine, beer, rum, vodka... pretty much everything under the sun.

Funny thing is my parents never drink, and as an only child some day I am going to inherit a retarded amount of alcoholic beverages. Hopefully I don't drink myself to death.
