anyone lose respect for pettis? Had a shot to fight for the title and turned it down

He's 2-5 in his last 7.

Nuff said.
He didn't deserve the fight anyway.

Frankly I am relieved, the idea of Pettis vs Khabib managed to kill any remaining interest I had in the card. Somehow Iaquinta is marginally better.

Always be a fan of Showtime. His best days are unfortunately behind him though and I think Felder and Al were probably better replacement options at this point.

Money talks..

Pettis knew he'd take a savage beating if he took that fight. Might as well try and get paid...

yeah he'd get torn up..on a major slide..USADA bless? lol

Some people fight to be the best, some people fight for money

It is what it is

Tapping out because he couldn't get out of Poriers back mount should have retired Pettis, he's done.

exactly... he's nowhere near a titlefight and he turned it down... basically he'll never win a title again. I thought he was in this business to be the champion. I guess he's just a gatekeeper.... if that.

Pettis just passed on his last opportunity of ever getting a title shot in the UFC. Lost 5 of his last 7 and was given an opportunity and he didn’t act on it. Smh

He made the smart move. He got beat up and finished in his last fight against Dustin.

Would have been even worse against Khabib.

Fight Khabib on 24 hours notice with no increase in pay?

agreed. Horrible stylistic matchup. I guess he saw it too. But still, he has no hope of winning a belt.

Wanted more money ufc said no so he said no.
