Washed her yesterday and didn't see this. It looks like she got bit by a bug maybe?

Could be a tick. Kind of looks like it. They sit there and chew into anything they lock into. They are hard to remove without breaking off bits of their jaw, which is locked to the host, which can transmit Lyme Disease. It could be something else, but that kind of looks like a tick might have burrowed in. I'm really not sure, though. If the dog plays often in tall grass, and especially if it is getting warm where you are with Spring coming on, the tick population explodes in that situation, if you are in an area where they are prone. Anyway, that is my two cents.

No tall grass in my fenced in backyard, I don't see anything burrowed in. I have to put her and the other 3 dogs in cages when I leave the house, they're in a basement where I've seen house centipedes and spiders. That sound like a pissibility?

Idk maybe a hot spot? Or a bite. If it were a tick you'd be able to see it

I don't know about the rest. It just looked to me like a tick had burrowed in and something knocked it off, but I'm not sure. It would leave a circular bruise if it was a tick, I think. It has been awhile since I read about it for my old dog, who is gone now. Spider bites usually swell and puff up, in my experience.

Looks like an infection with something possibly in there. Could be a broken off tick head, cactus spine, foxtail, splinter etc....time to take her to the Vet.

yeah just make a vet appointment just to be on the safe side. hope u have a good vet.

u keep ur dogs crated in the basement? is there light down there at least or are they in the dark for 8 hours? three dogs in one crate? cant u just give them access to the basement?

Get some fresh aloe vera straight from the plant and apply it a few times over a few days. If that doesnt handle it then go to the vet. I have seen that stuff handle business, it is magical stuff and I use it to treat most skin irritations.
