My nephew was drafted in the MLB. Im pretty damn psyched for the kid. He was drafted in the 3rd round so I think he’s going to get a serious signing bonus and of course if he makes it to the bigs he’ll be stacking dough. He’s been a dominant athlete his whole life but couldn’t imagine he’d get so far.

I thought you said “sports,” not a bunch of bearded chodes sitting around playing slapass and occasionally swinging a bat over the course of three hours.

Gonna go ahead and put you down as a no

Not really. My grandfather’s uncle was a pro boxer in the 1920s, but that’s about it. Actually, all his uncles were.

Very cool. You in inherit his talent? Or his dough$?
I was talented & was following the same path, but I injured my throwing shoulder at U of Hawaii & stopped playing when I wasn't able to regain the strength in it. I did't love the game like he did though, so it was for the best. He's a hard ass, so I was never spoiled, but I've had a good life :)

My cousin is a pro triathlete. But you asked about sports not people seeing who can exercise the best.

Nope! Had a few buddies who have played pro hockey around the world though. Buddy I grew up playing with (his dad coached me as well) has ONE goal in the NHL, in his first game, first shot on goal, and on his birthday.

Only one he'll ever get though

My mom's sister's son came in the top 10 in the World Championships. Now he's the national coach and two of his students won gold at the world championships and the 2018 Olympics.

In figure skating.

On my mother side of the family. My great uncle played in the Bundesliga (German highest soccer league). He played over 400 professional games both in the first and second league back in the 70's. My uncle played in the second division and third division in the 80's but that was only semi-pros at the time. My cousin was very talented in soccer as well. Played for a few German national youth teams but got injured very badly when he was 18 and had to retire.

My dad was a pitcher.

He made me be the catcher every night :(
