It seems very difficult to do these days. I've been getting much better recently at calling upsets (Picked Tyrone to KO Lawler in rd 1). Some of the variables I use are the following: The striking defense of the current favorite in recent fights (Robbie has been rocked several times and almost put away) Potential gameplans either competitor is likely to approach. Stylistic matchups. But it still is very difficult at the end of the day to pick fights right. There is certainly an element of luck and timing, but for example with RDA vs Alvarez even today I would still pick RDA on paper. Are there any strategies people use to make better picks and have a better understanding on who will come out on top? Please don't say weigh-in psychology because that has proven to be false many times and people just recollect the moments it was right.
