Anyone gain a lot of respect for Barao in his back-to-back losses to Dillashaw?

His saltiness aside, was anybody else inspired by the way he fought to the bitter end while receiving a thorough ass-whooping by the fresher, faster Dillashaw?

I think Renan has a better chance than anyone in the division to beat Dominic by the way.

I think Dominic's legs are never going to be the same again. The one hard leg kick TJ landed on Cruz got him limping- imagine what Renan could do with his spamming low kick combinations.

It wasn't Cruz' knee that gave out it was his plantar fasciitis acting up from the kick. But nice try. Barack looked like he was moving in slow motion against TJ. How do you think he'd look against Cruz? Barao would lose 50-45 easy, swinging and kicking at air.

He's a tough and creative dude, and I loved watching him fight. But elusive, movement-oriented fighters are his kryptonite, I feel, and he didn't look good against TJ in either fight, really. He's at 145 at the moment anyhow.

It's almost like those brazillian fighters aren't allowed their spinach anymore.

Not really. He got completely outclassed.

it'll be pretty difficult now he is at FW..... what kind of rinky dink MMA website are you running? do try and keep up with the sport you claim to cover

Technically it wasn't back-to-back. he beat Magnon in-between the losses. Renan def went out like a warrior uring the fight. But the saltiness and the failed weight cut made me lose more respect for him then any I gained

I was ready to pounce on that too lol. Doms knees were never in question during this fight

I loss respect for him. He was made to look silly, and looked completely unconditioned.

I used to be a huge Renan fan, and will still cheer him against Stephens, but he's falling off, HARD!

Bruh Renan Tubarao is at FW now. Cruz probably gonna break records with that belt.

I'm still interested in seeing a Cruz/Barao fight but I think Barao moved up to FW permanently right? Yeah I definitely respected Barao alot after the 2nd fight. Even in the 1st fight, Barao got rocked hard and just wouldn't quit. I don't think he ever fully recovered from that shot in the 1st fight.

TJ beat the hell outta Barao. Twice. Renan hung in there as best he could but those felt like life altering ass kickings.

It didn't change either way...same for Aldo, but both now have to prove they are still on top of their game after these setbacks.

Oh god absolutely. Barao is the man. To keep fighting after being KO'd repeatedly, especially in the first fight, was fucking tremendous.

The fact that he even stepped in there for the second one. Wow.
