The basic idea behind it is that it will keep your drank colder longer, with double the insulation. I did it every time I drank it, but mostly because I was told it was just the way. I was also informed you needed a specific type of ice chip, as there are many available in fountain soda dispensers. Apparently the wide disc shaped type were the best. Also, if you didn't know, Sprite is the preferred mixer.

I had quite a good run with it back from about 2004-2007. What the rappers are actually drinking is a prescription cough syrup, made with Promethazine and Codeine, with the latter being the active ingredient. The specific brand you want is going to be purple in color, and quite thick, as well. It's got one of the most amazing tastes of any drug, cough syrup, hell, even candy I've ever had. I guess I would liken it to a berry flavor.

You only need about 1 or 2 .oz to get a good buzz going. It's highly addictive, as it's a strong opiate, and as much as I miss it, I'm almost glad it's not readily available to me anymore.

yeah i knew it was the codeine that was what got you buzzed. I assume the buzz would feel similar to strong pain pills like oxy. Ive taken strong pain pills and i can imagine how addictive they can be, super relaxed. The thought of drinking lean scared me because the codeine would slow down you breathing and would be easy to overdose. But 1-2 ounces doesnt seem like a crazy amount assuming you werent doing it all day. Or is my assumption on the buzz off?

No, you'd be fine doing simple things, like driving or whatever, as long as you weren't a super lightweight. When I was young, I called it a controlled drunk.

never knew it had a good flavor. Have heard about it a lot but nobody ever mentioned the taste of it. I just assumed everyone was drinking something that tasted like a hamster's ass but tolerated it bc it was worth it lol
