The show was good and I enjoyed it but I don't understand the hype lvl it has gotten to. I am already annoyed with the memes and jokes and references to it. They are already selling costumes for it and I bet it's gonna be the number seller this yr cause it. Mr Beast is now doing it and some there is some other game shows being planned out to be like it. The fandom behind this show is out of hand and time to fade out like fidget spinners.

I watched like 1 minute of it last night just to see what all the hype was about
I got hella confused as the little kid was explaining the rules of the playground game and turned it off

The show has very little to do with the actual squid game if it's even real, that part is irrelevant to the story.

People bring up battle royale a lot, but actually it's pretty much a copy paste of Kaiji. Although Kaiji (anime/manga) was way better at creating tension and the game choices were better as well. Squid game is a decent live action version of it though.
