Anyone else thinks khabib destroys Tony?

It’s weird, when Tony vs Khabib was scheduled all those times, I was on the Khabib war wagon.

Now I’m all Tony.
 
Khabib all day, Tony is very sloppy and likes to pressure. Khabib will strive in that type of fight scenario. He’d pick his time to plant Tony, and proceed to control the legs and and pass the guard into Gnp, wash, rinse, repeat.

Not really a problem though for Fergie because of his toughness. Kevin lee actually gassed himself out smashing Tony in full mount but it did very little damage.

Conor has plenty of heart, just no featherweight is fighting at welterweight three months later for good reason. His heart was shown in spades vs Max and Nate 2, also showed good heart not even taking a knee vs May and lasting 10. Fighting Lando is different than fighting Khabib, and Tony has never achieved the things Conor has and against such high quality competition. His best win, by far, was RDA, and that RDA fight was super close.

Tony is a fun fighter, a great fighter, but he is getting smashed by Khabib and would get torn to pieces by Conor. If your getting dropped 4 times in a round by Lando, beat up by Pettis, you are in fucksville vs Conor on the feet, and if you are getting taken down and mounted by Lee, wrestled up by Castillo, forget fighting Bib.

Bottom line, if that shit goest to the ground, Tony is fucked. Plain and simple. Hes fucked. These people talking about Tony off his back etc...are full of shit. Were talkin Khabib here...not some run of the mill fighter. Tony WILL get fucked up.

Now, if it stays standing, clearly tony. OR...if tony is crazy and smart...take KHABIB down FIRST.

Relax buddy he had a hard time with Connor on the ground. Connor ain't no tony on the ground. What will khabib do? Hold Tony down? Kevin Lee had slight success then got beat badly with elbows, Tony will elbow him from the bottom. Go for submissions. Tony is too active for khabib
 
If it makes it to the 3rd round, Tony wins. We saw Khabib slow down in both the Iaquinta and Conor fight in the later rounds. If he does that against Tony, Tony will finish him. Too much pressure on the feet and non stop action from the bottom if he does get taken down.

Agreed, I also think Tony will be able to stuff Khabibs take downs better than either of those guys even in the early rounds. It will be a tough fight for both guys, the betting lines should be just about even.
 
I think one very real thing we need to consider is that even though tony was a collegiate wrestler, he does get taken down. It is very possible Khabib repeatedly takes him down and controls him from top and just grinds him out, not an unrealistic possibility, Tony is amazing from the bottom but he could just as well get Khabib'd

This is how I see the fight. Ferguson has insane cardio, but Khabib imo is the better overall fighter. He will take Tony down and control him for the majority. Tony will definitely have his moments later on in the fight, but Khabib is well schooled and he will close the show.
