Anyone else think Shlemenko will have a tough time with Tito

What if the Ryan Bader Tito shows up

I'm picking Tito to win thanks to his wrestling.

You will see. Tito has only bene stopped by big LHWs lately. I think Rashad and Nog both punch harder than Alexander. Except a 49-46 decision.

I will be back after the fight to bask in the glory of my prediction

Glory of that's not possible.

Depends how many fractured skulls and broken spines Tito comes into the match with. Anything less than 5 of each and he has a good chance. In all seriousness though, I'm still half expecting him to pull out of the fight still.

i have to admit, i chuckled a little. i share your sentiments.

I'm still prediction Tito pulls out. If not I'm sure he's got his list of excuses ready, like a cracked skull, injured back, or close friend dying just 4 days ago.

easy fight for shlemenko

You are absolutly inside, just nuts,

Shlemenko is yet to fight anyone i would consider to be on the UFC's level, he has handed picked fighters, he is moveing up in weight and he is the smaller man

did you see when Tito interviewed fedor???? Tito was like 3 times his size, he is gonna be about 220 on fight night, he will win proper easy.

Tito will ground him with a takedown double leg possibly, and beat on him all night long. I will report back to you after the fight, see what you are saying then...

Acually you are wrong, he asked

"Anyone else think Shlemenko will have a tough time with Tito"

other people have said they agree with him, you are wrong...

thank you.

Killme.

I have no clue what to expect from Tito, but I'm not expecting much.

How good are Tito's takedowns right now, vs Schlemenko's takedown defense. And can he get back up quickly if Tito takes him down? That's the whole fight, as Tito will get tooled everywhere else the fight goes.

When I first heard about this matchup, I thought Tito had a great chance to win this fight because of his size and his ability to control an opponent once the fight gets to thre ground.

After thinking and more analysis, I really don't think Tito makes it past the first round. The only real thing Ortiz has going for him here is his size advantage on the ground, it is actually a disadvanatge on the feet with Storm. Ortiz has been stopped by body shots in the past, Storm is a specialist in delivering these blows. I actually think that Ortiz will gameplan to prevent these body shots and will 'sell-out' for the takedown early in the fight. Storm will catch him coming in with something and end it early.

At the present time, I'm taking the under at -105 1 1/2 rounds on this betting wise as I think Ortiz GNP is lethal to a much smaller fighter and Storm standup is too much for Tito.

I think Titos size and grappling will give Shlemenko a lot of trouble. I see him wearing Shlemenko down via top control and eventually subbing him or maybe just grinding out a decision. Anyone disagree with me....

If he fights smart yea i think the weight helps Tito he's a big LHW, I see a decision or him crumbling to a body shot

hope this

fear/accept this

I disagree and can see Storm making Tito crumble with a brutal body shot.

This fight will show if Shlemenko has improved on his TDD. He's going to need it in this fight as Tito's only chance at winning is to take Shlemenko down and hold him down.

Tito's explosiveness and speed have gone down considerably. The last time he looked even close to elite was 2007 in his fight with Rashad. Maybe he was almost elite when he fought Machida in 2008, but Lyoto was so fast that Tito's TD attempts looked slow motion.

Anyway, that all happened 6 or 7 years ago. His only win since then was Bader, and I chalk that up to a Serra-GSP outlier type event. Even with Bader's weak chin, I think he beats Tito 49 times out of 50.

Without explosiveness and speed, Tito's size really isn't that relevant. He's just a big body with a huge head custom-made for target practice.

Once again in the WW forums, guys who were considered washed-up in the UFC (Kongo, Tito) are considered good measuring sticks for Bellator. Something is wrong with this picture.

If this were all about size, Dan Severn and Mark Coleman could come out of retirement and beat Shlemenko. (Severn could never make LHW, but that's beside the point.) You're not considering how age, injuries and wear-n-tear affect a fighter's ability to shoot for double-legs.
