Anyone else think Michael Johnson's career is comical?

I mean, seriously he might be one of the dumbest fighters on the roster. All the potential in the world, athletic, great boxing, fast hands, wrestling background, and yet..... always finds a way to lose.
Dude was piecing up Moisés then has the audacity to talk shit to him at the end of round 1 for absolutely no reason, only to immediately get subbed in round 2 lol. Fuckin hilarious .

Also what was that leg lock defense? Has the man ever trained jiu jitsu in his life? He did the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do.

He shouldve stuck with track and field. I dont understand why hed cut height that much either.

There’s always tension between the Blackzillians/Hard Knocks and ATT, MJ just picked the wrong guy to smack talk because Thiago M is like one of the nicest guys in the gym lol.

As for MJ, yeah he’s incredibly talented but there was no way he saw that footlock coming, Thiago hadn’t shown much of his ground game yet. MJ defended the shot incredibly well, he wasn’t expecting the follow up sub.

He’s made it to the highest level of the sport. Not sure how that’s considered comical. Underachiever, sure. He should be a top 10 guy on the planet but no there is nothing comical about making it to the UFC.

I think it's kind of sad now actually.

My reaction to watching MJ go full retard every time he dominates an opponent in Rd 1

He couldn't have seen it coming, but once it was locked it defended it literally the opposite way you're supposed to. I mean, jiu jitsu 101 stuff. He did the leg lock equivalent of diving into gaurd with one arm in.

CM Punk made it sunday paper comical.

He's weird, he can beat anyone on any given night, but he can also lose to anyone on any given night. He can also be trashing someone for any amount of rounds then lose at any time.

The only thing that's consistent about the dude is his inconsistency.

this is the problem with the UFC being both the manager and the promoter.
he was given some bad fights and in the wrong division.

He should start over in One FC

It’s way better than my career in pro mma. So, I find it hard to laugh at the man.

He has wins over top guys (Ferguson, Castillo, Poirier, Barboza), and at the same time, he frequently loses fights he should win.

I don't get it.

Yeah, as a blue belt who trains after work a few nights a week, I think I'd have defended that better than he did as a full time professional mixed martial artist.

Yeah it was weird. Almost any blue belt would have escaped - he didn't snap the sub on super fast, there was plenty of time to adjust one way or the other but Johnson just sort of hung out in nowhere land while he let the other guy work.

Sounds a lot like Reem.

Obviously he messed up in his defense eventually, but he was doing the right things at first... idk Moises, but you can tell his leg locks are high level, very rare to see someone in MMA look that good w/ them.
