Got invited to a few things but I'm not feeling it this year. I'm just not interested in the balls out New Years Eve parties this year.

My friends are already giving me shit because I got pissed that one of the last times we partied they had open containers and blow in my car. I just feel like I'm exiting that stage of my life though.

No parties for us, just staying inside and away from the windows. Philippines is pretty much a war zone with all the explosives and rockets masquerading as fireworks, and guns being fired in the air.

Yes I am. I'll be seeing an old friend back home, and we've lined up a particularly hard to find Gordon and McPhail bottling of an already very rare single malt. Trade off is that it's very young, only 15 years old in fact, but it's not something you'll see on the shelves. And no, I'll not be naming it but it's among their "rare old" collection. I wanted to get something from the rare vintage collection but I had to pay for a flight as well. This'll do in a pinch.

That doesn't seem excessive at all

For the most part fireworks are banned within city limits here.

Some good company, some good whiskey, some good food, & a Three Stooges marathon playing in the background. That's the plan anyway, what more do ya need.

Fuck the parties, if I'm gonna vomit, I can do it in my own toilet. No need for anyone else to clean it up.

Good for you, and if they don't understand, then fuck 'em, they aren't really your friends.

Cocaine gets old fast anyway, just like it does everything else fast. Unless you're doing it off Scarlett Johansson's tits, there's really no good reason to do it.

That sounds much better than hitting the bars. The last few times I've been drunk it's at home.

No worries about getting back at home or passing out on the sidewalk. It was great.

These fuckers are in their 30's and still shoving drugs up their asshole when the police are around. I'm going to pass on that.

Fuck that, what are they holding felony distribution amounts or something? Why the fuck would ya do that if you're only risking possession??

Probably because now that they're older they have good jobs that they're afraid of losing. Also because they have a paranoia high

I was picturing college kids, finding their way. If they're nearing the halfway point of the average expected lifespan, it might be time to cut bait.

Oh right. I think if it were me in their shoes I'd just be ditching it and cutting my losses rather than "sitting on it"...

Yeah I always thought the same thing about it, rather spend my money on speed tbh. Far more economic stimulant.

I mean, I'm talking back in the day of course. Too old, cold and full of mould these days.

I've dropped a few of them and definitely not hanging out as much as I used to. I don't know why a lot of my friends failed to grow up. Probably because they haven't had much consequence to deal with.

Yeah no drug beings shoved up my ass. I have no idea what I will do. Last year I just got wasted out of my mind to numb the break-up induced heartbreak before the countdown even started. When the countdown started my friend was shoving a pizza in my face to sober me up. I don’t intent to repeat that. I have never kissed a girl on new years so while I want that, I think I might prefer to chill with my dog this time.

My boss gave me a couple days off that week so I might actually party during the week before everybody else does.
