What's the point in giving Nate a title shot in a division he already got bullied out of, because he beat the fucking FW champ?
You have all those WW contenders to choose from, and you go with a LW who just beat someone smaller than him.
 
Nate v Robbie is very strange I must agree. Seems like they're trying to maybe work a Robbie v Nick rematch with a personal angle.
 
Hey, if Conor was getting a WW title shot, we're already living in fantasy land so why not?

Give Robbie an easier title defense, lord knows he deserves one after the past few wars.
 
A lot of the matchmaking in the UFC, especially with regards to title fights, is very odd these days. Joe SIlva, Dana and whoever else thinks some of these matches up are in dreamland.
 
It shouldn't happen and I highly doubt it will. Dana said that shit just to save a little face like there was any truth to the speculations. Weight classes exist for a reason

If any Diaz gets to fight Robbie, it should be Nick. A true WW.

Yes, I hate it, Nate has no business fighting for the WW belt for beating a guy who fights at 145 in a pretend 170 match - we all know it was a LW bout with minimal cutting and a convenient excuse for the UFC regarding Conor's 155 campaign.
 
Wouldn't worry about it, that was only Dana talking out of his a$$, trying to reiterate his "two weight classes above" nonsense.
This fight was contested at (hydrated) lightweight, not welterweight, and Lawler-Diaz will not happen.
 
They were going to give that to conor if he had won,so why not nate. They gotta capitalize on the pandemonium

THey abandoned that idea, it's now Robbie Lawler vs Michael Bisping for a shot at Jon Jones
 
When the fuck will you people stop underestimating the Diaz bros, for fucks sake.

Nate's put on a decent bit of muscle since his stint at WW, and he didn't do nearly as bad as some of you like to pretend. Stun gun and Rory are no joke for anyone, including most current 170lbers. Even Condit only just barely scraped by MacDonald back then.

Everyone remembers the three suplexes in round three of Nate vs Rory but they all forget the two close, competitive rounds that preceded it and Lawler is a much more stylistically favorable match up.

The only people I'd rather see Robbie fight are GSP, Wonderboy or Nick. And if we can't get any of those I say fucking go for it. Let the fun fights chanpionship continue.
 
It seems like an odd choice. Hopefully it doesn't happen.
 
I couldn't care less who likes it and who doesn't.

Makes infinite more sense than Chael Sonnen getting a title shot at 205, or Brock Lesnar getting a shot after 3 fights and beating Heath Herring.

I'd fucking love to see Nate vs Robbie
 
I don't like the idea. IMO, this fight should do nothing more than bad Nate's bank account.
 
GSP V Lawler is a big risk for GSP in my opinion. GSP needs a tune up fight first.

Lawler v Nate makes little sense either, though I wouldn't completely write off Nate's chances if it were to happen. Lawler v Nick I much prefer.
