Anyone else feel Conor is trying too hard?

With every media tour that passes, it seems that Conor's shtick is starting to crack.
When Aldo asked him, "What top fighters have you beaten?" "I've fought and defeated champions, you haven't even fought a champion."

McGregor had a look on his face that couldn't hide his emotions. He knew Aldo was right and you could visibly see it bother Conor.

Well, he's annoying ppl and making money hand over fist, so I'd have to say it's a sound financial plan.

The harder he tries, the more ppl make threads about him and talk about him. And the more $$ he makes. So you, posting this thread, and me responding in it, is why he is so annoying. We keep him doing this stuff.

So he's smart and we're dumb IF we don't like it and we keep reacting to it.

I don't mind it at all. But he'll lose to Aldo I think.
 
I don't think anybody can "try to hard" to make money. Thats all conor is doing and I'm pretty sure he's succeeding.
 
He's selling the fight. The amount of threads on here seems to suggest he's doing a good job of creating the interest, love him or hate him. I used to hate chaels shtick. Now I miss it!
 
He's never had this much media coverage so there's a lot more to analyze.
With Chael, his shtick was seemingly much more sincere and convincing.

Actually, no. I think that's the person Connor is, though he may be amplifying it a bit. Doesn't seem forced, though.

Chael, to me, was less convincing as he would use corny one-liners and make up cringe-worthy rap songs. Still, he was also entertaining.
 
He's the only one selling the fight. You damn well know Aldo doesn't hype shit, Conor wants to get paid.
 
he's been trying too hard from the beginning. he sounds like a loud mouth little kid.
 
I don't mind. This is entertainment, even Aldo who is going to punch him in the face is riding the wave.
 
The amount of little pussies on here that want to dissect every comment fighters make instead of just enjoying a bit of pre-fight trash talk alarms me.

Get a life, they are having fun and trying to hype a fight, they don't need your concern and they wont care about you opinion.

I noticed that part as well. It was the only time I think I've seen Conor spin thoughts around in his head for a rebuttal.

Yeah, he was at loss for words and the only thing he could say was "Dustin Poirier..?"
While Dustin is a good fighter, he's not elite and top of the division.

Seems fair to me, as he will need all that money for the face reconstruction after he gets wrecked by Aldo.
 
Connor acts like a middle schooler, but hey, it's working for attention from the masses. I'm just sick of it

I think he's just doing what he always does but he hasn't had to do this many back to back interviews and appearances before, so I think that is wearing on him. In that interview he just seemed annoyed because he's probably been asked the same question a million times already. It's got to be exhausting to keep up that persona 24/7
 
Also he is causing a lot of bans here lol. His threads are a double yellow fest.
