Anyone else believe that the next TUF after Edgar/Penn is going to be all female?

I know they already have the next season of TUF cast, probably all men which is fine because the coaches are men. But with the huge ratings for the episodes for women fights this season, do you think we'll see an all-women TUF season in the near future?

I think it depends on how the Rousey/Tate fight goes (dominant victory)... If Rousey remains champ.... theres always Cat Zingano who could step up. That being said even if Miesha wins they could always bring back Cat. So yeah.... 40/60 chance of all women. The talent pool is still pretty shallow.

when the ratings are down 30% because nobody wants to see middleweights for a 4th time, then yes I'm sure an all female TUF is a huge possibility

  6. Hope so, although I think I'd rather see male coaches.

I think the sex of the coaches are irrelevant, the only reason they haven't made an all-female TUF for Edgar/Penn is because they probably already decided on the cast members for that season when the numbers were coming in for this season of TUF.

Also, probably having back-to-back female TUF seasons might over saturate the market.

If Dana is smart, he'll make a new female division in the next year... Either 125 or 145. Having only one division is limiting for female MMA.

Hopefully Cyborg and Dana will bury the hatchet... She'd make an awesome 145 champ and TUF coach.

Might be hard to find the right talent. Consider how many old WMMA veterans were called in for this season's try-outs. Even Kim Couture was there, ffs.

Has WMMA really come so far now that you could do a whole new season with 16 fighters? You need 32 if you want everyone to fight their way inside the house. I don't think there's enough talent out there yet. There will be soon, very soon. But not that soon.

the women need men as training partners.. that is why they are doing a man and women season. ask any pro women fighter, they train with mostly men. women training partners can't adequately push them day in and day out.

She was? I completely missed that.

Makes me wonder why... Thought she was set for life with half of Randy's shit.

I like wmma, but there just isn't enough talent out there to have another season. Unless the UFC is open to a lower weight class.

Then again, part of the TUF ratings drop off over the last few years is due to the lack of talent too.

I think Cyborg would be a very good coach too, but unfortunately language might be a problem.

    Probably.
Given that the UFC will probably sign anyone remotely decent by then, the best record on the cast will be 4-2, with 10 women yet to make their professional debuts.

Oh, but there'll be a pool-party every week and plenty of pre and post fight massage sessions, so the ratings will be sky-high.

Just watch porn, for fuck's sake.

Also, the reason the women are getting higher ratings is coz they're women. The women on TUF are NOT more skilled than the men, extra viewers are tuning in just to see two scantily clad women rolling around getting into 'compromising' positions.

If these extra viewers were genuinely interested in a) fighting or b) the skills on show, they'd be tuning in every week. Coz, you know, there's a free MMA fight on every week.

These are not MMA fans. They are WWE diva freaks who get a kick out of seeing women rolling around together.

After this season of TUF the UFC women's division will have more fighters than flyweights.

    They don't need any more.

If these good women exist, why make them go through TUF anyways?

I almost feel bad for the men this season as nobody really seems to care about them at all.

Yes +10 sherdog points and +500 vcash for you

And TUF must cease to exist, seriously not really happy with this season, some interesting stuff the first episode was promising, but then it was just so-so.
