Costco has been making alot of people pissed over their changes in policy after Covid started. First if was by making everyone wear masks in the stores and now only allowing one member person account in at a time. So mother's can't bring kids into the stores now and have to leave their babies in the car and people getting even more madder now.

The no kids thing is dumb, thats gotta make it hard for a lot of their members to shop, seems like Costco is mad with power
Hope they get taken down a peg, A WHOLE PEG!!

I canceled my membership on November 12th, or whatever date it was, when they changed the policy to make anyone over 2 years have to wear a mask. My 2 year old will not wear a mask, and I'm not going to give her a neurotic condition for the rest of her life by forcing it on her. Beyond that, I'm not going to wait in the car or have my wife wait in the car for an hour while one of us shops. We live rurally and have to make the trek into town to shop, so it's nice to spend the day together. When my wee one is a bit older I may re-up, but I have alternatives to Costco thankfully.

I like Costco. The mask policy sure didn't hurt their business. Their sales were up by 7.3% this quarter. Many people want to feel safe when they shop. The whole anti mask thing in the U.S. is one of the reasons why we lead the world in Covid-19. I'm a long time member and will continue to show there.

That's their earnings from the height of "panic buying", so we don't know what long term effect the policies will have on their business. Costco also has a bit of a monopoly in rural America on the big box store. It will be interesting to see what their earnings are in the coming months and years.

I like Costco, but Winco is beating the absolute shit out of them in my area right now.

the no kids thing is awesome for us that are sans kids. I think I actually shop at costco more now than I did before especially the food court I am annoyed that the only serve pepperoni pizza now though.

I hope they keep doing well because I have 85 shares of Costco Stock that I bought about 5 years ago for $156 and its currently $381. Costco, Walmart, Target, and Amazon will continue to kick butt in sales.

Since the pandemic started my wife and I generally don’t take our kids to any stores, so we shop solo as it is. As for masks, our city mandated them back at the start of August so whatever.

They're not going to make any mother leave her babies in the car

Nope Costco is my favorite store an my kids are grown.

I didn’t know about the one member per account gimmick. This is pretty stupid. Is that brand new? I just was there earlier in the week and didn’t see a sign about that or anything

When did this no kids thing start? Went there last weekend. My wife and 2 kids all went in.

I received my costco membership card the beginning of the epidemic and I am enjoying my shopping experience so far

It's not no kids. They changed the policy on November 12thish to mandate any child over 2 to wear a mask and anyone with a medical exemption must wear a face shield.
