Anyone care about Gustaffsson vs Smith?

Yes because i got my money on Gustavsson

You're still going to watch

This is going to be a good fight, two tall strikers with different styles, Gus is prob the better wrestler, Smith has a good BJJ game (although I don't think it will go to the ground). Yes they both shit the bed against PicoJon, but against each other it's a more even match up.

I find very few of the upcoming matchups exciting. The cards in general are all pretty sub par

Off the top of my head.... I'm Stokes for:

Tony vs Cowboy
Nate vs Pettis
Romero vs. Costa

Otherwise.. meh.

I'm looking forward to it because it has the makings of a good stand up war. Gus is past his best now which should give Smith opportunities that he wouldn't have had a year or two ago. So, it could be a slobberknocker.

So much this.

I think I'm sticking with Smith by finish then Gus lays down the gloves in the cage.. I'm excited for it.. I'm up for a solid seven fights on the card. It's not bad.

EDIT: I don't believe in Gus's mental state but whatever fine apparently he probably wins this. But if fighting if mental, I just don't see how he does. I can't hedge Gus over 5 at -300. Crazy price for a guy who fights once a year at home, is injured, uninspired, tired, and says it outright. Smith says the exact opposite. Gus better come motivated for 25 minutes. I don't know. I listened to an interview, apparently he's not retiring. He wants a few more fights first so he will probably come motivated so he gets paid for those fights before he retires. So my pick is Gus, begrudgingly, but not at -300.

Smith’s last fight was just so down bringing. He was rollin, and I had hopes. But he survived. That’s all he did, and all he tried to do, imo.

Very disappointing for me. I still like the man, though.

It might turn out to be a great fight. But, am I excited?

No.

I like watching Gus, so yes I am interested in it.

what happened to all those Gus fans who were on here for years proclaiming him to be the real lhw champion? Were they all just fair weather fans who decided to shit on him after Jones 2?
