If so, to where and how was it?
I postponed the one I had scheduled 3 times due to Covid restrictions and finally said fuck it I'll just wait until next year.

I went to the Ukraine in February before all this craziness started.

I had booked to go to Crete and Spain for a week each but they both got cancelled.

I went to Texas for most of June: San Antonio, Waco and Austin/Lake Travis

Also went to Laughlin/Bullhead City/Oatman Arizona a few weeks back. Stayed up in a cabin in Idyllwild in July.

It was great to get into less restrictive areas, which actually had open restaurants and such

So it took you 3 times to realize to scrap it due to Covid...

I was holding out hope lol.
I was originally set to go in March but then all hell broke loose so I postponed until June. As things got worse I postponed until September. Things continued the downward spiral so postponed until November. I finally realized it was better to just scrap it until next year. I mean I could have gone but it seemed like it would be more of a hassle than a vacation.

Went to England in January but it was far from a holiday, went to an Airstream in Joshua Tree a few months ago just to get out of the city for a few days. Desperate to do it again, it was bliss being in the middle of nowhere.

Cancelled a trip by plane and instead just rented a house at the beach for a week, where we drove. Beach itself was empty. Local stores carrying on same as back home. Not as much fun as what we has originally planned, but the kids enjoyed the sand and water. Change of scenery was much needed for all of us.

I live 2 miles from the Visitors Center

No, it's not bliss hahahaa

Oddly enough the former lead singer for the B-52s runs an Airstreams Air BnB out in this area, and Cyndi Lauper owns a house here. As does Jason Mamoa

I've taken trips down the stairs when drunk. That or whenever my dog leaves a tennis ball half way down them.
I have battered the fuck out of my knees twice in a month falling over.Like they look like I've been dragged by my hair by a caveman the first time. Thankfully Saturday's incident I had trousers on so they're not cut to shreds as well as bruised to all buggery.

Went to Whistler BC for 5 days in July. Other than that, all vacation trips have been put on hold. Was supposed to go down the Oregon coast in September and somewhere tropical in December.

Oh well, saved myself 12k (or more) and can do bigger better trips hopefully next year.

How'd you like it? Had you been there before?

I'm curious because my wife & I own a rental property in Bullhead City that we inherited from her dad when he passed from COVID this past May. My wife spent a lot of her childhood there on vacation but I've never been there ( we just moved to Sedona last year ).

It's chill. Parts of Bullhead and the neighboring Fort Mohave look a little run down, but that's hard not to when compared to relatively nice casinos across the River in Laughlin or Avi over in California by Needles.

Its a real big boating/fishing/partying on the Colorado River type community.

Went to see the in-laws in NC.
Had to wait a week and get a rapid test before I could return to work.

Back in April my wife & I were supposed to take a trip to SoCal to visit her mom & her grandmother at their place in Anaheim. On the way there we were going to stop by the place that we own in Bullhead City so I could see it. And then when we were through visiting in Anaheim we were going to drive down to San Diego to see one of her best friend's new house in Imperial Beach.

But Covid-19 ruined our plans & we don't plan on making that trip until next Spring. Hopefully, by then things will have calmed down with the virus somewhat.

I see. Cool. I'm glad you had a good time.

And, yeah, my wife insists that we swing by Oatman so we can see the burros. She hasn't been there since she was a kid back in the '90s so she's eager to go back.

Lots of road trips. Haven't flown anywhere. Canceled a trip to Europe.
