Anyone been KO'd before?

Haven't been KO'd from a strike but I've been choked out. My instructor choked all of us out one by one so we could all see what it looked like for someone to be choked out and what it felt like to be the one going out. He did this before teaching any of us any chokes cause he didn't want people to freak out if it happened when rolling.

It was really weird feeling...all sound got muffled like I had big ear phones on and peripheral vision went away. Then sound suddenly became unmuffled and I was sitting up and people were asking if I was ok. I didn't feel any lasting effects at all.

It was weird cause everyone reacts in a different way...some just quietly go to sleep while others twitch like they're being electrocuted.

yes and being knocked out is painless compared to a good body shot...

I got biffed by a 1-2 in sparring from a super heavyweight. I wasnt out but at one second I'm eating a shitload of leather trying to weave and the next my trainers looking at me counting 3-4-5 etc. I tried to walk it off but my legs felt like rubber also. All I've ever heard is that a KO from a bodyshot is supposed to be the absolute worst pain in the world because it creeps up on you quick and leaves you totally paralyzed. My coach said a dude from an affiliate gym got blasted so hard in the body that he shit his pants......no thank you

Twice:

1) First time was when I was about 8, and my buddy and I were fooling around with some OLD boxing gloves filled with horse hair. Yes, horse hair. These fuckin' gloves were from the 50's, I swear, and might as well have been filled with concrete. Right cross--> K.O. Mike

2) I was hit with a lacrosse ball doing about 100km/hr in the back of the neck as I turned to block a shot. I woke up looking at the ceiling of the dressing room.

Haven't been K.O'd in training yet. Knock on wood. :icon_chee

I haven't been KO'd by a punch Jus a lil rocked from a fury of punches. Felt like everything was just going slower and my legs felt a lil weaker.

I have been put to sleep though, put in a sleeper hold everything just faded out and when I woke up I was on the floor looking at peoples feet. It felt just like it does when you fall asleep and wake up.

Did you do the requisite vomiting into a bag and staying up for 24-hours after?

makes you want to shit and piss in your shorts in the ring at the same time..I'd rather be KTFO before taking a shot like Delahoya did against Hopkins.

A couple of days ago I was knocked out at our gym, we were put in a 3 round match, one of boxing, one of grappling, and the last round was all out MMA. I'm pretty out of shape as it is and having sinus problems as well so I gassed very quickly. When we got to the MMA bout I had gotten so tired that I had lost all technique and was pretty much in survival mode. My opponent was throwing out a bunch of leg kicks and instead of checking it with my knee i was putting my hands down to grab the leg. About a minute and a half into the match I dropped my hands to grab the leg that I saw him sweep out and instead of going to the legs he hit me square in the jaw with his shin. All that I remember was seeing him bring his leg out to kick and then I saw stars. I remember waking up breathing really hard, pretty much grunting and drooling all over the place and my trainer asking me if I was allright. They picked me up and carried me to the bench because I couldnt keep my feet, much like when you're really drunk. They gave me some water and I sat there in a daze for like 15 minutes, I had to sit slumped foreward and hold my head because if I sat up straight I got really sick and my back was killing me. I went back out a little later and did some free grappling but still felt a little wobbly. I've never been out personally by a choke but when practicing the triangle my training subject asked me to lock it in deep and when I did he snorted a couple of times and I released it, apparently he went out for a second or two. And as for body shots I have never been knocked out by one but the worst one I have ever taken put me on the floor in the fetal position in agony like I had broken a bone or something, couldnt breathe at all and it hurt like hell.

For me I always wake back up when my back hits the floor. There is a lot of ringing and confusion because I don't know what just happened. Depending on how bad I got rocked I may be really groggy and slow to move my limbs, or just pop right back up 100% again. But even though I may feel 100% it wont take much to put me on my ass again. I guess my brain doesn't want to take anymore at that point. In any case the worst part of being KOed is dealing with it for the weeks before the next fight. It just sucks. Its happened a few times to me, but its happened to all pro fighters. Show me a pro fighter who says he's never been at least flash KOed and I'll show you a liar.

You sound like you get knocked out on a regular basis, what are you? someones punching bag?

you aren't a pro fighter...

seriously though, it's not normal for you to get knocked out at practice on a regular. In fact, in the six years i havent seen people getting ko'd in practice, body shots drop people a lot, but actually getting KTFO?

Yea, KO'd once, woke up in the emergency room becuz the back of my head was busted wide open on the road, didn't help that i got kicked in the dome repeatedly after already being unconsious. Closest I ever came to dying. Suxs when pussies gota jump you. Tip for all those out there- Start fights in the grass.

Once during wrestling practice I was suplexed and wee landed of the might and the back of my head smashed into a conctere floor. I was out for about 20 seconds. I tried to satand up but everything was spinning, like when your drunk and are ready to puke. Plus I had a killer f@#cking headache

I just have to say, killer av.

You don't have a PRAYER in Vegas!

Very first time I was Ko'd, I was in Middle School. My father one day got really upset at me and ordered me to hold my hands behind. Then he landed that perfect right uppercut that flew my head over to the oblivion. My father did boxing and Kung Fu for 10 years, and he was like 50 pounds heavier than me... and oh yeah it was bare fist. When I woke up, I saw my mother weeping in my bed side. I couldn't chew anything for weeks.

It was in Korea, so parental violence is justified in the name of discipline.

once. Its painless, u just wake up a few mins later not remembering what happen

That sounds like a really bad idea. Who is your instructor?
