Anybody out there train at BJJ Revolution in Birmingham? I am going home in May for my sisters graduation and would like to swing thru there and roll a time or two. I'd also like to try to pitch BJJ to my 17 yr old brother. Let me know what you guys think/heard of these guys or if your at this academy. Thanks in advance.

I train under Samuel. It's the only BJJ school I've ever trained at so I can't compare it to any other place, but it seems to be a pretty solid gym. We do pretty well in competition. Gi classes on Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 pm, no-gi Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 pm. I think the Thursday class might be MMA, I'm not sure. I train almost exclusively in the gi. What's your rank/lineage?

I met him at a tournament recently. Very nice guy...seems like he really wants to promote BJJ in the area. I'd say go for it! Some of his students were quite good too. (Whites and blues that I saw)

I cannot speak for Puccio as I have not trained at his school, but I do train at a fairly new school located in Birmingham. We are called American Fight Club BJJ and are a machado style school. We train seven days a week primarily in the gi. PM me if you would like our contact info.

What's with all the Alabama-related threads on the front page?
