I'm thinking a 230lb jbj would have no problem with the #1 or #2 of the hw division that we saw this past weekend.

    I don`t think that`s likely...
I need to see him fight someone bigger to see how he behaves.

He'd have problems with Cain's relentless takedowns but if he can weather that storm I have a feeling he can take Cain.

Tool? No. But the clash of wrestling styles and strengths would be fun to watch. I like Cain in that fight because of his size, strength, and relentlessness.

I would have thought yes before UFC 155 but not after, as shown Cain can and will just fearlessly rush into you without the fear of being hit not giving you and room for comfort (what happened to JDS). If this happens jones's biggest attribute (his reach) is all but pointless.
So actually i see it being more Cain>Jones now

I think Cain would ragdoll Jones.

Cain has been fighting HW's, while Jones has been fighting MW's.. So no.

I think that JDS, Cain, Jones, Overeem, and Cormier all have the tools to beat each other, and they all have the weaknesses to lose to one another.

Cain has KO power, insane cardio, and great wrestling. Nobody tools Cain. I know that JDS KO'd him early, but that's different.

Jones is strong and a great wrestler, but Cain is way stronger.

No but it would be an interesting fight. Cain would have the edge in wrestling.

Threads like this dont go anywhere but down with a lot of flaming, back and forth and insults.

Whats funny about the whole issue is now JDS's hype is all but gone. Now Cain is the baddest man on the planet.

I think Jones has a good chance against Cain but he is moving up anyway so we will see what he can do.

I see JBJ doing quite well. He should out speed most HW's quite easily. Question will be can JBJ take a punch from some of the bigger HW's and how will he handle some of sizes of the guys who cut to hit 265.

Cain would beat JBJ convincingly. Jones would have nearly the same exact problem JDS had with Cain because Jones always controls distance and that's where he is comfortable. Cain would get inside Jones' range and his wrestling and strength would pull Jones out of his comfort zone. Unlike JDS, Jones doesn't have the 1 punch KO power that Jr does, so that allows for even more time Cain can dabble in striking distance.

In this fight Jones will basically be forced in a boxing match and clinch game against a fighter with better hands and stronger wrestling. Jones is a P4P top fighter and can easily become the LHW goat and a top HW fighter, but Cain is among probably 5 fighters in the world that are terrible match ups for Jones.
