We are talking HW the current roster is weak, Stipe would get obliterated by Fury and so would Nganou. There are no great wrestlers at HW besides Cormier.

Obviously we have no idea, who knows how natural grappling comes to Fury.

Maybe he’s just a natural fighter and he adapts to grappling quickly. He’d only need minimal grappling skills to apply a game plan that would be dangerous to anybody in the ufc.

Maybe he can’t adapt to grappling and would get taken down easily and embarrassed.
Odds are we’ll never know.

What we do know is anybody suggesting that someone in the ufc punches harder or takes a better punch than Fury is insane.

This is true. MMA strength a different animal. Myles Garret of the Browns worked out at Strong Style in Cleveland with Stipe and said Stipe was stronger than he was lifting weights. that’s an A-level monster saying that who was 30-40lbs heavier than Stipe at the time. You need to be a gorilla for MMA, not just have hands. Fury’s no gorilla.

Since there is so much money in boxing you dont see elite boxers in mma, like you see say elite wrestlers. if you did, they would dominate. MMA can be dominated by guys that pick up this sport in their late 20s. So nobody can tell me that if a freak athlete like Fury picks up the sport while being already the greatest standup fighter an octagon has ever seen wouldnt be able to dominate within 2-4 years of solide training. But you wont get to see it. Fury will make 100-200 million fighting joshua, he doesnt need reebok-discount lol.
