It was a good card plus it had more finishes than other cards.

since fox is losing the ufc to espn next year, i dont think they really pushed/advertised much for this card.

not surprised motherfuckers

I'm curious to see how ESPN will handle the UFC.

Not really. Alot of people thought Aldos was done, Stephens is a journeyman who had a little streak going but loses in big fights. And i think most of us figured the first Alvarez Porier fight in where Dustin was whipping him was pretty much how it would go down, which it did. Hard to watch the same cats win and lose over and over. I still watched and enjoyed but it was kinda like meh.

Sign of things to come. Our beloved sport is dying a slow death due to lack of stars.

By your logic, your saying FOX wants their ratings to go down? That makes absolutely no sense.

Not surprising, the main event was a rematch.

And the only time Aldo done great ratings was Vs McG.

why spend money advertising a product they will lose in a few months when they can spend that advertising money on a product that will continue to pay dividends?

No, the UFC literally does no promotions for these fights anymore.

I'm suprised anyone besides real MMA fans watch these, can't say i have ever seen a UFC on fox commercial in a couple years

I enjoyed every fight on the card and was pleasantly surprised. Have to admit I even enjoyed the women's fights for once although I did giggle once or twice.

When UFC airs on FOX, I can't stand the long commercials between fights and introductions etc... It takes forever!

Well since they already sold ads there is no incentive to drum up support effectively for a rival company (ESPN). The only reason they might have fears is that if they don't make a certain level they may have to provide make-good time but that isn't too standard in contract negotiation.

How would that help ratings?

Who doesn't like finishes? Get fans excited and put the spotlight on the winners. Sure decisions (if they're exciting) can do the trick but i just love finishes man.

That wouldn't help ratings...... Unless you're a wizard.
