Did anyone else scream "wrist control!!!" Francis after he kept eating shots while on the ground and against the cage. Wouldn't the first thing you'd teach a pro on the ground be wrist control? Hasn't he watched Khabib, Askren or Cormier just to name a few that use wrist control to dominate their opponents?

He was so punch drunk from eating those shots that by the time he was back in the standing position, he was seeing multiple Stipe's and gassing big time. Changed the whole fight and any chance he had of winning.

Was hard to watch at a certain point... page one... rule one... Wrist Control dammit!

Eating a hundred or more shots to the face because wrist control wasn't used had me scratching my head!

Anybody think this?

Time to go AKA Francis.

He grabbed Stipe's wrist a couple of times but holding onto it is harder than you might think.

Silva tried to hold Chael's wrist for most of their first fight but still ended up eating hundreds of punches from the bottom.

Francis would have done better by punching the mat. And using this rebound force of his explosiveness to bounce back to his feet.

The sadder part was eating 100 punches and sustaining no visible damage. Stipe was gassed out after round one and was throwing pitter-patter on the ground and in the clinch the rest of the fight.

Look at Khabib/Barboza or either of the last two Cain/JDS fights to see what it looks like to get brutalized and hurt in the clinch and/or on the ground.
