anymore? I wish I did, but I don't speak Spanish and it kind of pisses me off when I can't understand what the people are saying all of the sudden. Is this Hollywood assuming everybody speaks Spanish now? I noticed this when I was watching Logan the other day, but I've seen it before as well. Even the subtitles will read "Speaking Spanish."

Just hit subtitles on the menu options yo...

I'll go out on a limb and say that you're not missing crucial bits of dialogue. If you find that you're watching people speak Spanish for an extended amount of time, you may just be watching Telemundo.

Sometimes of course a film will deliberately look to leave you in the dark as characters who can't speak a foreign language are.

Im completely bilingual.... sometimes the fact that YOU dont understand the Spanish is part of what the director wants... so its not meant to be shown in the subtitles in the first place. Remember the subtitles IS NOT a translation, its for people who cant listen at that moment so just like they CANT understand, why would you have to understand?

There are many parts in many movies where the cultural or language barrier is part of the effect the story wants to portray, so yeah the fact that you dont understand is why that part was put there in the first place. The fact that you get lost is what they want. Many parts of what is said is not a critical part of the story, as I said is more for the effect

If they let in Renata Notni in, I'm moving to whatever State she's in.
