So I'm going to San Diego with my girl in a couple of weeks while she does the Koman 3 day Walk for The Cure. Since she'll be doing the walk I'll have a couple of days to myself and was thinking about knocking Tijuna off my bucket list.

I'm going to be carless, solo and the only Spanish I know is "Where is the beer/Where is the bathroom."

So who's been there?

How was it?

Where do I need to go?

I'm a giant white guy who looks like a fat version of Jeremy Shockey

I haven't been, but from what I hear, Its not what it used to be.

Fucking TJ lol..I went here and there but it's already been almost 10 years since I lived in SD, so whatever I say is prob obsolete by now. From what I hear its not the good time it used to be though. Honestly I would prob advise you to blow off TJ, if you really want to go to down south get someone to go with you and go down to Rosarito for the day.

I haven't been there since the early 2000s. I still go to San Diego all the time, but I won't step foot across the border ever again.

When you are there, grab a cab and just tell him what you need. Zona Norte contains all that you need. Stop into Adelitas and tell em I sent you. Enjoy

Tijuana is very safe you'll be fine...stay out of la zona norte/red light district.

But if you really want to party visit Club Hong Kong on Coahuila street.

I live in SD and go to TJ often. My only advice is dont take your car down there and don't drink anything that isn't from a sealed bottle.

Depends on what you want to do? But you would probably have the most fun at Adelitas Bar.

Also don't eat anything that you don't see prepared. Ate a crab cake at a little restaurant, got tired and must have passed out because I woke up naked in a donkey stable with a sore anoose hole.

Did they put you in the show?

I have heard there is this Districto Gastronomico or something with really good food. I went to Teejay this past summer but hung around the usual Zona Roja, avenida REvoluccion. The districto gastronomico is far from the border apparently.

Isn't kidnapping still a thing a Mexico?

Tell your girl to bail on the walk. Spend 3 days in San Diego/LA and donate $200 to the American Cancer Society. More money would make it to cancer research than doing anything for the Koman foundation.

That's all part of the TJ experience.

Not a place I'd visit without a group. Lot of other better/safer cities to go than TJ in Mexico IMO.
