I know he was cleared to train in March but I haven't heard anything since.

Does anybody know?

Not on his health, but I remember reading an interview a few weeks back he said he had no plans for an immediate title shot upon return, wants to work his way back up. Smart move by him. Fighting Barao after being injured for 15 years isn't good for your health.

I don't know either. I know he injured his groin on like january 6th, and torn groins take like 2 months, 3 months tops to heal. He should be training full time by now. The groin injury may have been for the best actually; that way he isn't pushing that knee too much.

Yeah, I heard that too.

I would love to see him fight Johnny Eduardo.

he'd better fight a gatekeeper upon his return. don't fight barao right away.

Got a double hip replacement and some hair plugs. Cruz should be back by 2018, better than ever and coming for that belt he never lost.

I always thought Caceres would be a good return fight for him, but now that he's scheduled, Johnny Eduardo would be a really good matchup. Everyone was shitting on him being matched up with Wineland without knowing the guys credentials. He's Nova Uniao's striking coach and is a big part of the reason guys like Aldo and Barao have the kind of stand up they do today. He's not a big name, but a dangerous fight for anyone in the division.

thats why cruz shouldnt fight him after such a long layoff.
