The last I heard of him he was going to some chiropractors who were making him do a bunch of stuff really early, and he ended up having to get another surgery. I know everyone wanted him to retire but he seemed dead set on coming back. What’s up with him? Is he training yet?

I think he wants to fight in July :)

he should fight luke rockhold next in bare knuckle.
what is the consensus on his sharp decline. the dude looked to be on his way to taking the mw thorne from ando like volk is now and feel off so fast. usada?

Chris went to a chiropractor for his post-op rehab?

I've wondered the same thing forever, he went through a gauntlet of Silva, jacare, machida, and Belfort, then overnight went to shit.

I can't think of many guys that went from looking unbeatable to losing the way he did.

Remember that Chris had a grappling match at Polaris recently ;)

Here he is after the match (below). Says he's still coming back. Really seems to be bothered by the "haters" who said he couldn't come back.

I was a fan, but since he got WRECKED by rockhold, romero, etc, he's just not been the same. The leg break all but ended him, but I think the dude would go in to a dark depression or worse if he lost his identity as a fighter.

He'll be back stronger than ever.

Not really, but still he'll be back.

He could have been an IV user, makes the rehydration after the cut much easier.

He lost to Jacare after he lost his belt and was on a downhill slide. He did beat Mark Munoz and Maia (both good fighters at the time) before winning his belt, though. It's weird how both he and Rockhold fell apart after their fight. Both lost their chins and never looked the same.

I think he's done sir.
He's not getting any younger and having that second surgery really fucked up his timeline.

Even if he comes back he'll be 1/10 of himself.

That is weird that they both seemed to come undone after that fight.
Never really thought about it tbh sir.

I know he isn't the most beloved dude on here, and I wouldn't blame someone for advising he retire, but I also admire the fuck out of him. Hell, he even already competed in a grappling match against a high level opponent and albeit in defeat, acquitted himself very admirably. I just hope he does what makes him happy and leaves this sport with his witts about him.

It won't matter because he time has passed. The current top 10 185lbers would destroy him.
