Any true MMA fan would appreciate Darren Elkins

I know many do not like his grinding style and tend to bash him but if you are a true fan of MMA grappling, Darren Elkins would be your type of guy. Any high school wrestler with his background would not had lasted as long as he has in the UFC. This alone makes Darren Elkins unique. He is one of those guys who's going to be in the UFC for over a decade just because of his elite wrestling. We're talking about a high school wrestler who is wrestling at the pinnacle in MMA. That is unheard off.

Outside of the cage, he is as classy and soft spoken of a man, especially for a star. He is humble and discipline. Inside the cage, he is ferocious. He is a fast learner and rarely makes mistakes. He has crisp, clean striking to go along with a durable granite chin. He also has decent striking defense. And once the fight hits the ground, it is where Darren Elkins shine. He has very good submission defense and ground and pound that are very very good. He has all the tools to be at the top of the division. He is one of those guys who you just cannot count out in any fight.

When it comes to picking a franchise fighter, Darren Elkins would be the type of fighter that is guarantee to satisfy anyone.

He wrestled for 2 years at University of Wisconsin Parkside, and then went on to earn a brown belt in BJJ...
No, I dont appricaite him. Fitch, SHields, and Ryan Hall, Ben Askren. Demian Maia off the top of my head are light years ahead as MMA grapplers, and the first 4 are equally as boring...

He is an absolute dryout and always has been. One of the most boring, predictable fighters on the roster but he's great at what he does....just don't dress it up as something it isn't. He's a dryout wrestler, not a MMA fighter.
