I'm going to a 6 hour seminar with Jim tomorrow in Chicago.:icon_evil I know a lot of people here are using his program or may have questions for him. If you post them here, I'd be happy to ask.

Honestly, I only have two written down myself since he answers so many over at elite.

Let me know if you guys think there'd be anything worth asking.

I can't think of any questions, but I am jealous. That would be a fun experience.

Hypothetical sitation: You're in the middle of deadlift day, and you need to take a piss. Your hands are chalked up. After you've done your business, do you wash your hands, or do you just wing it so that you don't have to dry your hands and chalk up again?

I want him to acknowledge that Kentucky is the best state he's ever lived in.

No questions. It would be cool if you could give a review of the seminar afterwards. Maybe cliffs notes...

How often to train the gear for a competitive lifter?

That is, is it better to train sans gear for the weeks leading upto a comp and then do a couple weeks in the suit/belts/wraps or is it better to train week in week out with the gear so your body better adapts to the stress and your CNS learns to deal.

Issue is overtraining and burnout. Can the overtraining and burnout be handled by taking deload weeks every so often?

Back squat training.

Band squats versus reverse band squats. Any difference? Which is better for ME days? DE days?

My gut says reverse band for ME work, band squats for DE work.

I'm kind of curious what he thinks of Rippetoe's methods in technique and programming (as as a person if they have ever met).

Actually I do have a question for him.

I would like to know what his thoughts are regarding doing the all out sets with 5/3/1 versus doing the more traditional "sets across" method that we see in programs like Bill Starr's 5X5. What is his opinion on whether to choose to use higher volume and less intensity over higher intensity and less volume.? In other words, what would the difference be between choosing to do 5X5 with 80% and doing 1X5+ with 85% of training max. Under what circumstances does a trainee choose one or the other?

If he only had to pick one album, would it be Take As Needed for Pain by Eyehategod or Migration by Buried at Sea.

Ask him if he'll create an account here and come post every so often.

He's for them, I think Donut once posted a Wendler seminar where he speaks about this.

Ask him if he thinks heavy prowler work is ok on a deload week.

wendler, in one of his Q&As, said forums are gay.

i doubt he will be making an appearance.

I don't have any particular questions, just saying that you should try to hook up some kind of endorsement deal, try to become the "poster child" of 5/3/1, if you will. :D

these are great. hopefully i'll get to ask a few.

maybe i'll just ask him if he'll spot me on tricep kickbacks.
