I must confess, I am probably a bit older than most and out of the loop.

My wife lost her phone and we have been out of contract w/Sprint for 4 yrs.
Neither of us needed/wanted anything special.

The wife picked up the Galaxy s2 for 30$.
I went for the Photon because it had the physical keyboard. Plus, it was free.

After playing with my wife's phone, the Photon feels like a brute.
I like the keyboard, but it left me wondering if this phone will leave me wanting more.

If I took it back it would be for the Galaxy s2.

    Any opinions, I'm lost

    Wait.

New year, new technology coming up. CES, the biggest electronic show, is coming up soon and after that event all the "old" tech of last year will drop in price and all the new tech will roll in soon after.

I would go with the Samsung, have the S II x and loving it. Big screen great for watching video's, camera and video both are amazing quality. A touch keyboard is less space consuming I would not worry about adapting to it. Bought the phone off contract for 250, got the cheapest possible cell plan, commitment free.
