Its probally the biggest boxing event in New Zealand history. Shane Cameron has been our best boxer the last couple years and now David Tua is coming out of retirement or whatever to fight him this october. Just curious if you guys had heard about it or still care about Tua man

Oh yeah, we've heard about it and im personally still interested in Tua fights. I wouldn't mind seeing him try to make another run for a title, don't know if it's gonna happen, but i think he probably could give it a good try if he's really motivated, in shape and coming to fight.

<-------not interested

of course! hes one of my favorite boxers ever.

and i respectfully believe this will be shane's last fight. hes really gonna hurt him.

do you know much about him? i didnt think shane was really known at all outside new zealand

I've followed Tua for quite awhile and know a decent amount about Shane.

Kind of wish Tua would have at least fought a fight in 08 to keep busy.

Tua was a let down to me.. he showed so much potential and just worked hard enough to see it pay off..

I don't think he'll be in great shape when he comes back and will be dependent up landing one big shot like he has been since the Ibeabuchi fight.

at one stage he got rid of all his trainers and has been training by himself. not sure if he still is. tua has been abit weird laterly.

This fight is in Hamilton, right? Why not Auckland? Aren't they both Aucklanders?

I'm tempted to go, My Dad lives in Hamilton these days. Was a big fan of Tua growing up...watched him come up through Commonwealth games in 1990

No,but it was funny when Stewie on family guy drew his picture on the wall in crayon.

I've been hearing about a Tua comeback for 5 years now.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

And we've been waiting for this for how long? Blah. He looked like garbage in a few of his return bouts. He's done as a top fighter.

Wlad would have toyed with him anyway. Prime or not.

I'm still excited. He's no world beater anymore, but i'll be a Tua fan until i'm dead.

Me too, I'll always watch Tua fight. Even in his current state there's always a chance he will just destroy someone with a big left hook.

That or he'll get outboxed, like the time Chris Byrd absolutely schooled him. It seriously looked like Tua might get stopped for a little while. Didn't expect that going in.

Ruiz. 19 seconds.
