Any of you guys going? (Battle At The Beach)

One of my training partners will be going. He will be competing in the Men's Beginner No-Gi 180 lb Middleweight division.

I won't be going because it's far enough from Pittsburgh that I would probably need to get a hotel. I just don't really have the money right now for the entry fee and hotel cost combined.

must be nice to be in an area that has a tourny every month.

i'll be there competing in the advanced 150-159 dev and blue belt gi

I was going to go and compete, but my new coach (the first real coach I've ever had) told me I need to learn more technique first.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of learning for 7 months, and not being taught any basic techniques like knee elbow escape. But my games coming along quickly, and I hope to be competing soon.

Thanks man.....this is a grappling only tournament, I dont train stand up at the serras, but they teach their jiu jitsu with no rules fighting in mind ...they'll show a technique for sportBJJ and then they'll show you how to modify it for the no rules game
