I loved this fighter so much, I even cried when he died. His fights were always entertaining to watch, to me at least.
The guy holds (unsure) the fastest Pride FC finish against Kazuyuki Miyata (3 or 4 seconds).

    It is Rani Yahya finish.

I loved this guy so much but he had no luck... So what do you think of Norifumi Yamamoto?

i think you will find many Kid fans over here on this board including myself.

that said both those fights you mentioned happend in K-1 hero's. Kid never fought in Pride. doesnt take away the fact that Yamamoto is an absolute mma legend who at one time was one of if not the best lighter weight fighter in the world.

Kid has a more complicated legacy than people like to admit. He was undeniably a piece of shit in the ring, and should have been banned from the UFC for life for pulling off stunts like this:

    At 3:40

    At 1:25

Undeniably a P4P great of his time.

Watched some of his fights on Dream when DirectTV aired them. Used to enjoy those.

Legend. Really a unique and spectacular fighter. A little man with a big personality too.

Unfortunately, like so many others his career was ruined by injury.

I always wonder how his career would have went if he stayed with Enson Inoue at Purebred

His career was kneecapped when his father pushed him to make the Beijing Olympics at wrestling and he destroyed his knee and elbow in qualifying. Enson was a positive influence though regardless.

I remember her bawling when Mike Zambidis flattened him, it was very funny. Had no idea that Yamamoto was dead though.

Any Kid Yamamoto fans care to enlighten me on why he called himself "God's Son"/"Child of God"?

I assumed he was just really religious, but never saw him go over the top with his beliefs like Benson Henderson.

to be honest, I am a big fan of his, but I have never discovered that. He was just a world-class fighter I was a fan of his inside the ring and Octagon.

    Trough a midget friend

Back in 08 I introduced him to mma while he talked about his favorite k1 fighter, Kid Yamamoto
We both loved Andy Hug so we became friends right away
    Sad for his passing RIP
