Any news on Shootboxing's 2014 S-Cup?

I haven't heard anything yet. I hope Andy Souwer, Hiroaki Suzuki, Buakaw, Yuichiro Nagashima
are in. I would also like to see a Chinese Sanda fighter Muay Thai fighter from Thailand and an American MMA fighter as well. Please no more Hiroki Shishido, Bovy, and Warren Stevelmans.

If anybody knows anything please post. Shootboxing is awesome.

 

They usually do S-cup in November, so there's plenty of time to set it up.

 

I thought it was in July for some reason. I can't wait for this years S-Cup it should be a great tournament it always is. I really do hope Buakaw fights in this year's tournament but I doubt it.

 

Ever since I found out what Shootboxing actually is in like 2009 Ive been thoroughly intrigued. It really is awesome/entertaining. And if Im not mistaken, quite a few MMA guys have competed in it over the years. Mark Hominick, Carlos Condit, Toby Imada, etc. Anyone know if its still very popular in Japan?

 

Did they competed in 2013?

The past year they did the S-Cup 65 kg (Hiroaki Suzuki won), the Girls S-Cup 53,5 kg (Mizuki Inoue) and the Girls S-Cup JKS (Mio Tsumura), but the biggest tourneys S-Cup and Girls S-Cup are on the shelves since 2012.

 

S-cup is done every two years, usually.

only the Girls S-Cup was annual between 2009 and 2012 (RENA - RENA - Kamimura - RENA).

 

The first few S-cups were done erratically, it's usually S-cup then next year, ground zero or shoot the Shooto.

 

Buakaw gave an interview to Gong Magazine that he wanted to participate in this year
tournament.
