Any merit to protein deprivation?

I've had a couple of people swear by this, but never tried it myself and have no clue if it has any merit.

isn't jeff anderson the guy from clerks? i can't take him seriously. especially when he advocates a system that doesn't make biological sense.
 
All I got from that is Intermittent Fasting. Seems like nothing more than Intermittent Fasting. But caps lock and shocking words make it seem like some mystical voodoo secret.

I haven't read anything like that from anyone promoting IF, except for that skinny Martin guy maybe. All I got from that was gibberish and capslock.

I did however, almost forget the power of hyper-adaptation...
 
you dont eat enuff protien and you lose your ass.... i am quite happy knowing that if i eat my 40% P a day i grow fairly well thanks....

I don't buy everything he claims, but things like increase in growth hormone due to a lack of protein basically leads to nothing more than IF. Again, he uses caps lock and shocking words to make it seem bigger and better
 
It's probably best to just ignore the article. You can never build or repair muscle in the absence of protein. If the body doesn't have enough protein available it will break down other existing tissue to get what it needs. The rest of it is pretty stupid too.
 
Ye, but still this whole "you should ingest protein every 3h or you'll get muscle cancer" thing is tiring and alienating.

And don't forget the powers of HYPER-ADAPTATION!
 
Sounded like crock to me, thought I'd ask anyway..
