Any kundalini Yoga practioners?

if joe hogan supports it, it must be legit. probably even better with dmt.

Yoga isn't from the far east - it's from the Indian subcontinent aka South Asia.

Well I'm not familiar with Yoga, but I know a lot about Kundalini. Its basically raising the energy in your groin along the path of your spine, through your chakaras to explode through your third eye. Long story short, you can have a bad awakening and go insane. There is a book by Gopi Krishna who detailed his experience...which was a bad awakening. He nearly fried his enternal organs due to the potent energy.

If you awaken kundalini successfully you will basically be a living god. Also when you awaken the energy, you won't be able to function in society, because normal people will think you are crazy. You wont be able to keep a job. Most people who awaken it, move away from society. So if you depend on money in order to function (rely on paychecks), its not something you want to awaken. But a successful awakening is pure bliss.

Sorry but I am a little bit confused with this statement, what does it mean when you say your "living like a god" and yet its not a good idea if your dependent on paychecks???

I mean, I don't understand!? Do you no longer yearn for food, sex or any other human interaction? If so, what becomes the main drive of the persons living once they activated their kundalini?

Life becomes pointless basically. You have transcended to the afterlife, which is a blissful place, but your body is here on earth. I'll elaborate later when I get home.

I am still very interested to hear your thoughts on this, so please keep up us posted since I have been interested in kundalini awakening for almost 10 years, though I thought I was just going through some hippy new age phase but as years go by, I find that Im still yearning to learn about kundalini and how it works and the best way to go about it.

Nonsense. Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.

OK, life becomes pointless. Once you've opened up all of the chakaras, you basically have merged with the void. You have transcended this life, and can freely move into the spiritual or the afterlife, which is a blissful place. You can astral travel...leave your body at will. You can travel in space. You can explore the spiritual realm. Once you experience all of this cool stuff, you realize how pointless life has become. Why work for a company or strive for a promotion? Why work for money? Why work for a new car? You have experienced ultimate bliss and freedom, and no experience on earth can come close. You understand that life is a prison

You can no longer relate to people anymore, because they haven't seen what you have...so they basically come off as ignorant or stupid. You realize that everything is connected, and there is no such thing as races, or separation, or even death. The rest of the world is concerned with sports, or politics and other pointless crap. You realize that life is an illusion. So people who awaken all chakaras tend to go off in the mountains somewhere in isolation until they decide to just drop dead, and permanently become a spirit,

According to some of the books Ive read, there is still work to be done after kundalini. Realistically you might be correct as I havent verified this myself, met anyone who has accomplished this, and realize everything I read may not even be true.

Yes. There is still work to be done after the awakening

life becomes pointless.

Except there is also present deep compassion and empathy for the suffering of others so there is the desire to help, at least for some, and those become the guru types. Also they are attuned to a higher will, so there could be a lot of work to do. I remember reading about some masters that go on from this world to work on larger scales in the cosmos.

Yeah, there is always work to do and a constant desire to "move up" if you will. Even after you die, spirits are constantly working to "move up", and to eventually merge with the creator, which is the last stage...according to the texts. Compassion is the way to move up. When I said life was pointless...I meant the daily hustle and bustle.

Whenever I hear or read people talking about meditation as a relaxing, calming, chill thing I kinda scratch my head and wonder if I was doing it wrong or they are lying because thats not how I would describe my spiritual progression at all.

It is supposed to be lol. What kind of meditation exercises were you doing specifically? Sounds like you are doing something wrong.

The original excercises involved concentration, aggressively stimulating the astral body, self.control, and via willpower trying to contain and process that energy. It burned me out mentally very quickly and the astral body stuff led to intense emotional upheaval. I had tremndous states of altered consciousness which may have been a result of the additional energy OR the mental burnout.

I stopped those and my practices are more geared around purification, blood circulation, energy circulation, and work on all 3 bodies with rest and replenishing excercises when I get tired because its tiring and intense work. I also try to.contain the energy as much as possible and let it circulate upwards to change it from sexual and emotional things that feel pent up and looking for release into a calm mental clarity and intensity.

Oh Ok. I don't know about all of that and what it entails, but counting breaths in half lotus is relaxing.

Heh, nihilist.

This is a very interesting thing you mentioned due to the fact that few hours ago I was reading about a guy named Dr. Glen Morris who was known as a guy that awakened his kundalini but then suddenly died in April 1 2006 without fulfilling his will and announcing his successor which caused a political rift among his students which may explain the whole politics is crap and that was the whole point.

I just found out about this guy last night and he has some fascinating points in regards to Kundalini activation, he mentions that its important to have Qi Gong and physical/martial arts training because the chi kung + strong body will provide the safe guard when the Kundalini starts moving up.

Now myself, I know nothing about these type of stuff and so I don't want to sound like a know it all just because I read something last night. Though I will say that, it does make sense to have a strong body or some sort of martial arts/Yoga can help with kundalini awakening.

Dr. Glen Morris is what got me into Kundalini in the first place 15 years ago. I bought his book, and inside he has a simple exercise to awaken it. After about 2 weeks of this particular exercise, I was on the verge of awakening it, and luckily for me, I did more research on the subject and learned of the dangers. Fortunately, I stopped before I fucked myself over. This is his book:

Again, you don't need to do yoga to awaken it. He talks about when you are meditating, to envision a ball of energy traveling up your spine. After about 2 weeks, you will start to feel the ball. You can feel it actually traveling up your spine. I forget the rest of the details, but that's the gist of it. Again, not something to play with.

I would read Gopi Krishna's book first (the one I posted earlier ITT) and make a decision if you want to continue. People have gone mad from a bad awakening...like another poster mentioned.

I think I read that book before too. If Im not mistaken he started doing the excercises and one day he threw a porno into the vcr, started fapping, and BOOM the kundalini shot up into his brain and he passed out from the pain.

Yep that's the book

Thanks for the info, I was thinking of trying this. Looks like I'm not ready.

Isn't one of the "side effects" of Kundalini supposed to be the development of Sidhas, or psychic abilities?

I'm from Minnesota. To me, "Kundalini" sounds like a sexual act in which pasta is involved.
