Any good Kyokushin karate gyms in chicago?

    Are there any good Kyokushin/ standard karate gyms in chicago with good masters?

    Karate is awesome my uncle trained in Kyokushin in his youth and he still shows off the fancy kicks :p

    Kyokushin must have been the first Karate style that allowed low kick a la Muy Thai style.

    Yeah, I do think that Eddie Bravo brought some good things to jiujitsu but I still contend that a lot of that was already there from Nino Schembre.

    for the record, Mas Oyama (founder of Kyokushin) was a 4th dan Judo.

    Did anyone see the vids on youtube where Oyama breaks a grown bulls neck? Oyama wasnt a big guy but he was so focused he would be able to find inner strength.

    It's "allowed" in all styles; not emphasized in most after the formalization of the arts of Te creating modern Karate styles. It was hardly the first to make larger use of them, btw.
