Growing up my parents had a Borzoi/German Shepard mix. Greatest dog I've ever had.

He had the shepard's size and head, with a little bit of the black fur, but mostly he was fluffy and soft as a borzoi and talked like a borzoi. He was so much fun.

He was named Chance after Michael J Fox's character in the hit movie Homeward Bound.

I love German shepards. I just can't get one because I have to stick with breeds that have a long life expectancy. I can't handle losing a dog. Nothing worse than losing your dog.

Right now I have a lab/beagle mix & she's only about 40 pounds. She's an amazing dog. As smart as they come. She about to turn 10 & she's still healthy as can be. I'm just hoping she has the beagle genes that are known to live a long time.

I had one that passed away a few months ago. : /

He got up to 119 lbs according to the vet's office. Everyone that got to meet him would mention how huge he was.

He loved to play fetch with his indestructible ball. He'd destroy anything else in minutes.

My friend had one and he was a fuckin mean ass Dog. He hated everyone but their family. Good looking dogs though. They scare me just as bad as Pits or Rottweilers.

grew up with a male and female
amazing animals and super protective of the family children....the female would stay close to us little kids while the male would patrol a perimeter around us and check any strangers walking by

pretty cool

My wife is pregnant with out first son, I cannot wait for them to be able to play together!

My next pup will be a GSD or a GSD/Mal mix.

RIght now I have an American Indian Dog, he looks exactly like this except with one blue eye... He needs a canine buddy.

I had a mixed German Shepard that my dad got from the pound. That dog was freaking crazy though I bet he was mixed with wolf because that dog was uncontrollable. The dog would run away for months and later on come back and chill for another few months until he decided to leave.

Easter weekend at the lake. He LOVES water.

It's been a very eventful 19 months in our household. Miles and Blitz are inseparable. Blitz is up to 120lbs but is such a gentle giant.

Used to have one named sassy. Great fuckin dog. Would take her fourwheeler riding with me all day and let her trudge through the mud with me. Had to put her down after about 14 years but she had a good life
