Pretty much most amateur boxers. Clottey, Cotto. Lowered guards are SUPPOSED to be the exception. I disagree that a high guard is always the correct guard.
For boxing purposes I suppose anything goes, but the 'mma stance' is a little more complicated.. It seems that fighters prefer a bladed stance at long range, and squaring up for brawling/clinching range.
