"My arm is still a little bit swollen from the last injury," he said. "€œI'm training but I'€™m not 100 percent. I'€™ve started doing my physical work and getting in better shape for next year."

Faced with a potential career crossroads, Nogueira is taking his time to ensure that he doesn'€™t return prematurely. Almost six months after his surgery, he'€™s anxious to continue his forward progress, but not at the risk of any setback.

"€œI don'€™t feel pain, but it gets swollen, so I don'€™t want to be pushing 100 percent right now,"€

When are we going to get to see Hunt/Nelson? Now is the perfect time. Big Nog should get someone farther down the later. If not just give him Stipe.

Stipe is fighting Gonzaga Jan 25 is he's higher up

This fight may decide the future of Nog, if he losses, he should retires. If he wins he could fight again.

Big Nog should retire.

His decision making in fights has been terrible recently and his hips look slower and slower in scrambles.

I hate to see him get hurt and with the way things are going I feel like its only going to get worse.

I suppose he can beat Nelson, but I also see him getting floored with big power from Nelson.

Hope he wins and retires.

that would be an awesome fight to watch.

i hope it happens

He is looking slower, but he will have to make adjustments in his game to counter that.

But he is still very competitive, last four fights he's 2-2 but in those 2 losses he was winning both fights. And you can't really blame him for those sub attempts. Mir he was hitting and had to adjust due to the ref. werdum wasnt smart but he went for it.

Although for the moments they were on the ground, the scrambles and grappling was very exciting

He is recovering from injury, and big country is a nasty fight for him... Struve is coming back from a year long lay off... please give him Struve.

Man what is it with every HW wanting a "safe" fight with Nelson now? I bet they all think they can box him up and get outta the way of the overhand right to win a decision and take no damage. If he lands that bomb on whoever faces him next I am gonna laugh my ass off.

why nelson shouldnt it be someone lower nelson is in a stallmate right now it seems

I'd rather see Hunt-Roy.

Big Nog is a winnable fight for Roy though.

Big Nog vs Brock would be perfect if Brock is coming back.

I'd rather see that fight than see Nog either outpoint a gassed Nelson or Nelson land a big right hand early on to KO Nog...which are basically the only two outcomes that fight would have.

Nog can win this decision np, just stay away from the right hand. Nog's more technical everywhere.
